Ignorance. Some people specialize in that category.

So the other day, I was on my way home and stopped to get some gas around 11pm or so. And while pumping gas I saw a homeless man (whom I've seen before on the this particular street) standing near the doors to the store. And for some reason I felt like I should get him something (I don't like to give money). So after getting gas, I went inside to get him a snuggie (since it was 35 degrees) and some peanuts (gives protein and energy). So I check out and give them to the man, and he said he couldn't take the peanuts because of his teath (he had hardly any). Then he looked at the snugie and asked what a "snuggie" was. When I explained that it was a blanket/jacket, his eyes lit up and thanked me.
Then I walk to my car, and the guy who was pumping gas next to me, who saw that I gave the homeless man some stuff came up to me and started yelling "Why on earth would you give that lazy bum stuff?! He's worthless and doesn't deserver crap!!!" And let's just say, that's the PG version of his language. I've never been so frustrated in my life by someone! So, at the time I was feeling rather "saucey" and and told him in a veryyy stern tone, "Oh I'm sorry I'm trying to be a decent human being and help someone who doesn't have the appropriate attire for cold whether like this and was trying to help him out. If you have an issue with that, I would suggest you keep that to yourself. Thanks for your concern though."
Yes, I know that I should have just walked away, that would've been the mature way to handle the situation. But I was applaud that he said that someone was worthless and other statements that I would have to bleep out. I've never met someone be so rude and ignorant in my life.
So, I just got in my car and left. The guy was kinda dumb struck that I actually talked back to him and just stood there. I think I should invest in getting some pepper spray or a tazor, if I plan on having an argument with a random guy.... at 11pm at night...at a gas station... and on the west side. I figured there were witnesses, so not much could happen.

... Ya, I need to get a tazor. Probably a good investment
