The story of Job.

So yesterday, I really wanted to dig into the book of Job during my QuietTime. I've known the story, but I haven't actually read it for myself. I must say, it's one of my favorite books of the Bible. So here's my take/summary of what I've read.

Job was a very wealthy man, who had an extremely moral character, and was always faithful to God. Then one day the Satan challenged Job's loyalty to the Lord. Satan believed Job was mainly loyal to God because Job had never faced extreme hardship. Job was one of the wealthiest men at the time. God agreed to remove "Job's protection." Job lost all his wealth(animals), his children were killed in a freak accident, and his health (his body was full of boils and he would use pieces of broken glass to scrape them off his feet so he could walk). Job went from one of the most respected people, to the laughing stock of the town.

I'm kinda in love with the story of Job, and want to write out how it ends. But if you really want to find out how it ends, you should read it for yourself :) Job is right before Psalms. So, just open your bible right down the middle, turn a few pages to the left, and there you go! You'll be on at your destination the the story of Job.
